Awazon Market review, limited to what can be checked
Awazon Market is a Tor hidden service marketplace that opened in 2025 and still has too little history to be judged on results. Here is the split between what is documented, what is claimed and what nobody can currently check.
The part that can be checked
| Item | What the record says | How solid it is |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Marketplace run as a v3 Tor hidden service | Firm. It follows from the address format. |
| Escrow | 2 of 3 multisig, buyer, vendor and market each hold a key | Stated by the operators and consistent across directories. |
| Coins | Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin cash, Monero | Firm. Listed by the market and copied by directories. |
| Vendor bond | 200 USD, free above 100 sales and 95 percent feedback | Quoted from the operators’ own launch text. |
| Launch date | 21 February 2025 or March 2025 | Weak. Two directories differ by a month. |
| Number of mirrors | Between 2 and 11 depending on who is asked | Weak, and the disagreement is the useful part. |
| Current state | Several directories show offline, one has not polled in eleven months | Weak, and it is a fact about the monitors as much as about the market. |
Notice what is missing from that table. There is no vendor count, no order volume, no dispute ratio and no payout history, because nobody publishes them. Any page that quotes a number for those four is quoting a number that cannot be traced.
What the market claims about itself
The launch text promises a shop built from the ground up around security, flexibility and user empowerment. Every marketplace in this category has opened with some version of that sentence, and it is a description of intent rather than a record of outcomes. Three concrete features come with the pitch: escrow on every transaction, early finalize so a buyer can release funds ahead of delivery, and direct deal, which pays a trusted vendor straight into their own wallet and is granted by request rather than given to everyone.
The security sentence is where a review should stop and be dull. Signed messages, two factor login and multisig are all verifiable properties of the software. None of them changes the fact that when money moves onto a marketplace it sits under somebody’s control until it moves back out.
What nobody can check yet
How the dispute desk behaves once it has a backlog. How staff turnover affects the market key. Whether the escrow policy survives a change of operator. There is no court filing, no chain analysis post mortem and almost no forum history behind this market, so anyone writing that Awazon is proven is describing a hope and not a dataset.
A hidden service that is three years old has usually survived at least one bad month, and that is the record buyers are actually reading. A market from 2025 has not, and no copy on a landing page substitutes for it.
Where the reviews people read are weak
The rating blocks on the directories that list this market are thin enough to read in a minute, and what is in them is a row of identical star scores and reviews whose entire text is a keyboard slip. A five star score next to the word lolkiukik is not evidence in either direction, which is why no review block is reproduced on this site and why the star average printed by one directory reads 5 out of 10 from three reviews reading lolkiukik, looool and GOOD MARKET.
If you want a signal worth the name, the order thread inside your own account is the only one that is about you.
Who this is a decent fit for
Someone who already uses Tor Browser, already runs a self hosted wallet, and treats a marketplace as a place to complete one transaction rather than to keep money. For that person the multisig escrow is a real improvement over a plain custodial balance and the plainness of the storefront is a feature.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who wants a track record before they commit money. Anyone who will leave a balance sitting on the site between orders. Anyone who is not going to check 56 characters twice, because the thinner the history the more of the safety margin has to come from the checking step, and that is the step people skip. The mechanics of doing it properly are on the onion address page and the account side is on the security page.
Questions
- Is Awazon Market legit?
It is a functioning hidden service marketplace with a documented escrow model and a short history. Legit and proven are different words, and only the first one is currently supported.
- Is Awazon Market a clone of Amazon?
The name is a joke on it and the interface borrows the same conventions: a search box, a catalogue, a cart, an order list. The operation is not, because an onion service has no shop address, no delivery promise and no storefront to be reviewed.
- Why are the review scores on other sites so flat?
Because they are few and mostly one word. Read them as evidence that the directory has a review form, and not as evidence about the market.
- Did Awazon Market have an exit scam?
Not one on the public record for this market. What is on the record is a set of monitors disagreeing about whether it is online at all, which is its own warning. The general mechanism is on the exit scam page.
